Abstract
This paper addresses the critical challenge of effectively integrating technology into middle-school English as a Foreign Language (EFL) education by proposing a novel pedagogical framework: the Technology-Enhanced Connectivist English Learning (TECEL) model. Grounded in the principles of connectivism, which posits that learning occurs through the formation of connections within networks, the model moves beyond traditional, teacher-centered approaches. It is structured around a dynamic, three-phase cycle—Pre-Class, In-Class, and Post-Class—designed to foster continuous, adaptive, and autonomous language acquisition. The study demonstrates that the TECEL model effectively leverages digital tools not as mere supplements but as fundamental connectors that facilitate personalized learning pathways, collaborative knowledge construction, and the development of essential 21st-century skills. Key findings indicate that this approach significantly enhances students' linguistic proficiency, digital literacy, and self-directed learning capabilities by creating an ecosystem where technology and pedagogy are seamlessly intertwined. The paper concludes that the TECEL model offers a theoretically sound and practically viable framework for educators seeking to bridge the gap between connectivist theory and classroom practice, with important implications for curriculum design, teacher training, and the future of technology-enhanced language learning.
